The animals at the farmhouse

Our animals, the heart and soul of the farmhouse.

At La Longère des Cocottes, nature is part of everyday life… and something we share.
Here, young and old alike are invited to enjoy simple moments spent with our animals.

The joy of collecting eggs
With us by your side, you can meet our hens and discover the freshly laid eggs in their nests.
It’s always a magical moment, especially for children, who rediscover simple, essential tasks with wonder.

Meeting Scoubidou
Our donkey, Scoubidou, brings joy to everyone. Gentle and endearing, he loves company and always watches visitors with curiosity.
You can come see him and share a peaceful moment in his presence, always accompanied by staff to ensure everyone’s well-being.

A Gentle, Supervised Experience
Because respect for animals is essential, these moments always take place with us, guided by a respectful and caring approach.

Memories That Last
Collecting eggs still warm to the touch, listening to the clucking of the hens, approaching a donkey with ease…
All these little moments make for great vacation memories.
Here, we slow down, we breathe… and we reconnect with what truly matters.

At La Longère des Cocottes, you’ll enjoy a fully private cottage designed to ensure your peace and quiet. The property spans 1.2 hectares, divided between our home and the cottage, which are separated by a fence. We may occasionally need to walk behind the cottage, with the utmost discretion, to tend to our animals. On the property, you’ll discover a rural setting with a donkey and chickens, the latter having their own fenced-in area. Our friendly yet independent cats may come to say hello, while our dogs remain on our side of the property and never enter the cottage’s garden.

You’ll enjoy a completely private outdoor space, with a garden and a barbecue located at the front of the cottage, completely secluded from neighbors—ideal for relaxing in complete peace.

To ensure everyone’s safety, we unfortunately cannot accept guests’ pets, as the cottage grounds are not yet fully fenced. Thank you for your understanding.
